My Rat Diet [05 Sep 2006|12:58pm] [ mood | blank ] Finally have my mix made and so I will post.My rats LOVE it.Of course you can add more stuff that is good for them or substitute some of the stuff in my mix.Do a search on homemade rat mixes and I guarantee you will find "Suebee's Mix"...^_^ Of course,along with this...I give them fresh veggies and fruit,pasta,bread,peas,tuna...etc...and nutriblock. *Puffed wheat *Dried banana chips *Dried fruit *Mixed nuts...make sure you know whats good/bad for rats *Trail mix *Royal Canin dog kibble *Museli granola cereal *Rolled oats *Unsalted soybeans *Split peas *Shredded wheat *Wild bird seed *Dry whole wheat pasta Thats it...I just mixed it all together.I am planning on adding a few different things next time. 1 CMNTED X CMNT

Ghastly Breath... [21 Jul 2006|01:15am] [ mood | cold ] Silvan is doing well,but has ghastly breath!Oh man,thats the worst I smelled on a dog before!I think she has a few health problems.She is not eating much,is constipated and when she DOES have a movement,it is very runny...I am gonna ask Sheila about a vet appointment for her.Poor thing...still very timid and thin too... On wednesday I was in the BP office...however for the first time I was in charge of opening the office.Connie dropped the key off to me and I had to go in and open up.I was alone there and had to watch 3 male dogs (Jiggs,Jasper and Lucas) who hate eachother and open up and do things around the office ALONE...some man came in wanting us to trim his dog's nails.I told him probably not,but to talk to Sheila.Were not a grooming salon.He said he takes his dog to "Dog's Divine" and pays $6...well sorry,but even if WE DID trim nails,we would charge.Anyway finally he went away...he was kinda weird...the other volunteers finally came,all late of course...there was Karla,Connie and a new one,I forgot her name.She was in my high skool around the same time as me,but I don't remember her,altho she does look familar!Anyway it was pretty dead last night...*rolls eyes*...but it was so stressful and hard being in charge...I am kinda glad I don't have that responsibility EVERYDAY...I would be a bag of nerves!Hahahaha...it was alright tho! Today I went to the mall...bought a new fleece blankie,it is green and very soft and cozy!Also got some sensitive teeth stuff (I used to not have sensitive teeth,now I do...:o(...),rat treats and toys,tofurky,all of Chloe's groceries and diapers...etc...afterwards me,Steph,Dawna,my sisters and Rochard went swimming at like 8pm.It was a little chilly and now I have bit of a chill...but am wrapped in my new blankie!!It was fun and the pond was so calm,we should go in the evening from now on...^_^ 5 CMNTED X CMNT

Here's some ideas for next time. 1. One of my current rats is a loner and needed a friend. 2. I needed just one more to even out my odd rat numbers 3. He followed me home, I swear! 4. I had too much empty cage space... it needed filling 5. I don't have a rat yet! 6. But got one! 7. I had some spare cash on me 8. I didn't realise he'd fallen asleep in my backpack! 9. I couldn't leave him there with all those other rats - they bit! 10. It's not a new rat, I've always had that one, you just haven't noticed him before 11. My vet bills were affordable this month, I can afford another rat 12. I haven't hurled a sock at the cage in weeks, I need to add a new rat to the mix 13. I get a discount rate if I buy Baytril by the gallon 14. Another rat will only add 300 additional grams of biomass to my existing pets. Everyone added together still weighs MUCH less than the neighbor's single German Shepherd. 15. I'm feeling maternal 16. If I'm small and cute I can get away with just about anything 4. If I can fit it in my mouth, it's food 5. Lazing around in hammocks all day and partying all night is the only way to live 6. The world is my toilet 7. All facial orifices require regular inspection 8. If I have a dispute with my neighbour it is socially appropriate for me to beat the crap out of him 9. Well... [25 May 2006|05:49am] [ mood | chipper ] There is a chance I might not get to go to Old Perlican afterall...:o( I will find out tonite.It depends on if Uncle Neil has room, as he will be bringing out some lumber and flooring to do nanny's floor.If he has room, mom and me can go the weekend...*crosses fingers*... Chloe has been sick lately...stomach sick and has been sneezing today.However she had an appointment with the public health nurse just the other day and it isn't serious.We have been giving her children tylonal (sp?) and the cough and cold stuff... Well I got my order from "Canadian Feeders"...the crickets were awesome!Very large and fat, gut loaded greytly!They are very noisy too.I was impressed, as they are alot bigger then the pet store crickets!Even the adults you get in the pet stores are not this big!I was really impressed and will be ordering 250 this time.I only ordered 50 as it was my first time ordering from them and I never knew what to expect!As for the mealworms...I had a problem with my first batch.I ordered 250 of them and well, of course...being a first time customer and all...there were grain mites in them...very gross and I was so disturbed!They are little white mites and were crawling everywhere!*shudder*...I immedialty contacted Rob of "Canadian Feeders" and told him about it.He got Cory and Dee to come by and give me 250 new mealies, since these were infested.I never had to pay for the new ones and they even threw a couple extra in! It was very nice.I did find out more about grain mites tho...they infest grains and whatnot and were in the chicken mash used for the mealies.Grain mites are harmless to reptiles,humans,rodents and other animals...so I never had to worry there!However they breed and infest easily!So disgusting!They can live in cracks and crevices for years without eating until they come in contact with grains...and the females lay up to 800 eggs...so nasty!I am now afraid to pick at the new batch of mealies, altho I know there is nothing in them and already fed Bear some.I will be feeding Tanjobi some too as a treat, already found out he likes crickets!He actually eats everything I give him, not a picky turtle like Amanda's!Haha... Today I had to go to the BP office, as since it isn't open to the public until the weekends...there are resident dogs there that don't have foster or adoptive homes yet and they need to be fed,walked,played with...etc...and some are on meds.So throughout the day, volunteers go over and take care of the dogs for an hour.So I went there today at 1pm.The resident dogs there today were Cherry and Marcy, two VERY sweet female beagles who have been surrendered.Cherry is a little nervous and has cherry eye in both eyes, poor girl and she depends on Marcy...so they need a home together...They have been at the office for a month...such a sin.I haven't been at the office in a month, so I only met them today.The other two resident dogs were Hanky, a gorgeous beagle with some humping and destructive problems.He had a foster home, but managed to get out and is now back at the office.And last but not least is Murphy.He is a 6 month od puppy, but is very large and tall on his legs.Looks like he is a beagle/pointer mix.He is gorgoeus and such a cutie!They will be at the office until they get a foster or adoptive home.Anyway so I went over there to look after them today for an hour, will be going again next week.I was supposed to be at the village mall for the BP info booth, but I cancelled as I most likely will be going out of town.However if I don't go, then I may go by the office and see if they need extra help, which they usually do if it is busy.Afterwards, Sheila and I went over to the Village mall to pick up the coins from the fountain.The fountain in there always give the coins that are tossed in to charities around the island and this time it is for BP.So we went and got them.There were 6 buckets of coins from the fountain for us!Thats real good!They will need to be counted and cleaned now and I think that will be done on the weekend.Apparently the fountain is being taken out of the mall...hmmmm... Sprite is gonna give birth ANY day now...I am thinking maybe tonite or tommorrow.She has been really nesty and shoving everything into her nest...food dishes,toys,paper and of course the blankies I gave her.I also gave her feathers,tissue and paper for her to shred into her nest.Also the babies are very active and you can see and feel them now!So cute...I cannot wait!!!!!!!! Ray's Visit [18 May 2006|06:00am] [ mood | satisfied ] Took Raymond rat to the vet today to have his teeth trimmed again.Today he really didn't want to be there, it was busy.So when Dr.Hillier (the nice vet that I like there) went to trim his teeth, he was way to squirmy and wasn't being a still boy.She didn't wanna risk cutting his tongue or something, so they put Ray under anesthectics...poor thing...was so drugged when he came back.I think he was mad at me too, as he refused to give kisses and he is a VERY kissy rat.But his visit went well.He is asleep now and isn't mad at me anymore, as he gave me tons of kisses again! Full... [16 May 2006|10:09am] [ mood | blah ] Well today me,Dawna and Steph went to "Ponderosa".We got the all you can eat salad bar and sundae bar.The salad bar has everything! I am not a salad fan, but there was like taters and rice and everything! Plus they had Heinz ketchup! The only ketchup I will eat.The sundae bar was so good too...but of course we gorged ourselves.I have never eaten that much in years! After we went to Wal-Mart.I just picked up animal supplies and a picture frame for my beloved rat, Saukrates.I must print out one of Sterling and Claribel now and frame them.R.I.P all my beloved ratties!Unfortunatly I only have pics on my puter of my current rats and my deseased, Saukrates,Sterling and Claribel...so thats all I can print and frame...oh well.We left Wal-Mart and went to Pets Unlimited, but of course they were closed...argh!So we came home. I am feeling really bad now.Dawna told me she and Ally were no longer friends.I was like "why?" and she said she didn't know, cept Ally didn't want to ruin things or something.See...I am more confused then ever right now! I don't hate Ally or anything, I was ONLY wondering why she suddenly didn't want me around and was acting colder to me and not Dawna.But I said that if Ally didn't want to be friends, she should just tell me and that would be that.And I told Dawna, that if me and Ally stopped being friends, for her to still stay friends with Ally.I just wanted an explination of why I was being ditched and whatnot.I never did a thing to Ally (that I know of)...and even tho she obviously don't want to be friends, as she deleted me off of myspace and everything...I will never hate her and always love her, even tho we are not friends.It is a shame.She was/is an awesome person!I hope she finds true happiness in life... *Dawna* - If you talk to Ally, please tell her I don't hate her and make sure she understands that! R.I.P Claribel [15 May 2006|10:55am] [ mood | sad ] Sadly I just found my beloved rat, Claribel passed on.I knew it was time, as she was almost 3.R.I.P my girl.She was supposed to be a feeder rat, as I got her from a reptile store when she was very young.She fortunatly got to live out her life here with me and was a very sweet rat. Dawna is over to Ally's and of course I wasn't invited.I am not only annoyed and angry, but a little jealous, as the 3 of us were supposed to be friends...but now I am not wanted or included.Well you know what!? I am gonna stop caring anymore...they can be together all they want and not have me around...but it isn't my loss, Ally was the one who really needs friends...but if she don't want my friendship...whatever! I am sick of being lied to...I dunno if she is lying, but there is definatly something going on and I am not getting the full story, but whatever!At this point, I will just move on with my life.If Ally needs me tho sometime, I will be here.I will never stop caring for her, but it seems she don't need me now. Today was funny...me,Steph and my sisters ended a funny prank!Our cousin who we never see, as he lives a little far, was on "lavalife"...of course you do NOT do that when we are around.Cuz there will be something on the go...well Steph made up a profile as "Jenna" and started emailing him and everything and arranging a date.Well we went down to the "War Memorial" to see him there.We pretended that we were just out for a walk.We stopped and talked and everything and he said he was waiting for a friend...we were giggling and everything, but he never caught on."Jenna" was spose to meet him at 6pm...lol...and she was late.At around 6:30, we finally said "Wanna know something funny?" and he was like "What?"...and we told him we were "Jenna".He turned sooo red it was hilarious!He wants to get us back.Fortunatly he gets pranks and everything, so he wasn't really upset, probably more dissappointed then anything.We all then went for coffie...cept I had an ice cap as I hate coffie. WTF do ppl judge me!? [15 May 2006|03:26am] [ mood | angry ] Well today I went on a walk downtown with dad and mom.It was a nice day and a nice walk.They ended up going to KFC...-_-...I only had a few fries, I found out the fries are cooked in vegetable oil, so not bad.I hated being in there tho...the smell was making me sick. Anyway it seems that Ally don't like me much anymore...and I have even more proof tonight...some of the comments she made.Well I dunno now if someone said something to her about me or if she found out about things in my past that she never liked or what! See, the past is the past and if someone judges me on it, they can go to hell.I have changed since I was 16!Anyway I am getting sick of it.Making friends and them ditching me.Ally and I were friends and then Dawna came along and it was all good, the 3 of us were all friends and it was fun.But now Ally seems colder towards me and saying that Dawna is her best friend and everything...and I named my friends today and she made a rude comment about if you name out friends like that, it makes them seem like they mean nothing...WTF! So what I am just gonna not say I have friends and not give them names??? TURTLE-TURTLE [13 May 2006|11:41am] [ mood | calm ] Well went and picked up my turt today.I am so confused on it's sex...lol..Dee said that it was a male and well he/she does have the LOOONG nails and thick tail as in males...however he/she is huge!He is the size of a grown female!Almost as big as Steph's female.Even Amanda was confused at his/her sex...lol...anyway also he/she is moody and snappy...hehe...but oh well.He/she is settling in now and a little stressed. Anyway Dee and Cory are really nice people and alot younger then I was expecting!Haha and they have a 2 1/2 yr old son.They showed me all of their geckos, they have leopards,fat tails and crested.Plus they have 3 corn snakes, mice and a bunny.They were showing all of their cuties!But yep, very nice ppl...almost as nice as Kjaerstin and Allen!Anyway I may be getting a female leo off of them in a little bit.I adore their hatchlings!They are so cute!! 7 CMNTED X CMNT

.....WTF!..... [13 May 2006|01:42am] [ mood | angry ] My day was pretty good...me and my sisters went out to Mount Pearl to Pets Unlimited, as I needed crickets and it is cheaper to get them there then Pet City. After we went to Wal-Mart and the Bulk Barn.Ended up getting lost in Mount Pearl...hahaha...we were looking for the bus stop and ended up going the wrong way TWICE! Hehehe...it was funny, but annoying too as it was cold. Anyway I am confused and hurt, not to mention angry.Ally seems to think I don't care about her and am freaked out by her panic attacks.I care for her alot...why would she suddenly think this? I dunno if someone has been telling her lies about me or bringing up my past and thats why she thinks I don't care or something.Because of this, I am not going to be around for awhile.I am so sick of ppl befriending me and ditching me.It has happened before! I got pregnant and friends ditched me and now I am not saying thats what Ally is doing, but the other day when I told her I hope she felt better and apologized for not being able to visit her that day, she replied by saying something along the lines as she was not in a good place, yet Dawna went down with no prob and was there for like 15 minutes apparently.If she was "not in a good spot", why was Dawna allowed to visit and not me!? This is why the fuck I cannot trust ppl...they fucking ditch me or believe lies,rumors and then judge me by past events...I had a crazy past, but I am trying to forget that stuff...but then somehow it is brought up and ppl judge me because of it...I AM FUCKING SICK OF THIS SHIT...I might as well stay inside all the time, it seems like no one wants me around or I cannot trust ppl... 6 CMNTED X CMNT

Soooo Tired... [11 May 2006|01:45am] [ mood | tired ] Well Brandy was spayed yesterday...or I mean the day before.It was so pitiful when she was brought back, she was shaking and looked so sad and sore and drowsy and ended up sleeping the whole night...was still drowsy from the anesthectics!Today she was a little better, but very slow.I can relate, as I had to recover from a C-section...so I know how painful it is and hard to move so soon after surgery! Today, um...yesterday Dawna and I went to Ally's.We were spose to spen the night again, but she got sick.It was sad and I didn't know what to do.I hope she is better now! Sad Day... [09 May 2006|12:40pm] [ mood | sad ] Well my day was sad for 2 reasons...first off I gave the baby mice to Al for his snake.I only kept 4 of them...the 3 that Melissa wants and the little black girl named Pepper.I decided not to keep anymore males, just in case a mouse gets out again, so I won't have anymore accidental litters...I feel bad now for doing that, but snakes need to eat and no one else was willing to take any cept for Dawna, but she didn't have the cage or anything yet and I am running out of room for cage space...desperatly need to straighten up the animal room and get some shelevs put up! The second reason it is a sad day is because a good friend of mine and Chloe's godmother Patt Cowan died today.I was mainly shocked at first.Mom called me and told me and I really was speechless...I knew it would come as she was sick with cancer and whatnot...but wasn't expecting it today. I feel even more horrible now, as I haven't seen her before christmas! Brandy is going to be spayed tommorrow...so I need to get up early, like 8am!Yikes! 4 CMNTED X CMNT

Turtle?? [07 May 2006|11:55am] [ mood | annoyed ] I AM GETTING A TURTLE!!!!! Well looks like I will have a turtle once again! There is a woman who has a RES and wanted to find a home for him, as her and her husband are breeding geckos and wanna focus more on the geckos and so she needed a home.She wasn't really doing any advertising or anything, as she don't want just any yahoo take him.Anyway he was in a bad home before she got him, he was kept in a small tank with no basking area or anything...poor guy.He is doing good now.She has had him for a few yrs now.I am looking forward to him, as I want a turtle again...yay! Wendell (rat) wasn't feeling well today and so I took him up to the room and just held him in my arms for a bit...it was so cute, Chloe came over and tried to comfort Wendell! She was like "it's ok" to him and then petted him and she did it gently! It was like she really understood Wendell wasn'r feeling well...it was really cute!Wendell seems better tonite...but I noticed he isn't eating as much as he did before...gonna keep my eye on him! And I needed to move the mice soon, as they are little hoppers now and going everywhere...there is one missing, and thats not good with rat cages around! I am keeping 4 of them...Pepper,Timbit and Nugget...the 4th is nameless right now and I have Melissa's 3 here...the remaining are being picked up by a man tommorrow for his snake...I know several of you will cringe when you read this and will be mad at me and whatnot...but I cannot keep them and needed to move them soon and plus snakes need to eat too! It is not like I planned to have so many baby mice! So freak out at me all you want...it isn't gonna bother me!I feel bad for giving them up for snake food...but what else can I do? Dawna said she would take some, but has no cage and I only have so much room to hold on to them...so I am sorry. Humid Today! [06 May 2006|11:39am] [ mood | tired ] Thursday: Went to Zellers with mom. She had to bring papers in or something. I also picked up my next pack of birth control pills...I am so sick of being on fake hormones... Friday: It was coffiehouse day! Hehe...it was a fun night. Sometimes it is fun and other times it is not fun...anyway we all went...me, Steph, Dawna, my sisters, Don and Dawna's Jason. We played card games and had a laugh. There was this weird guy there that Amanda said looked like Joaquin Phoenix. Only from the side and from a distance did he look like that. Sandra stupidly told Reuben that and so Reuben called the guy over...he introduced us all to this guy, named Matty. He wanted Amanda to tell Matty that and of course she wouldn't. so he did. That Matty guy was all happy. He was gonna play cards with us, until he realized were crazy and I guess he couldn't handle us and so he got up and left...he seemed a bit odd... Today: Dawna and I went to Kjaerstin's house and it was fun. I love going there...she is awesome! I will so miss her. It was fun anyway. After we left there, went to Zellers and then home...found out Melissa's chin died...I was so sad...Melissa loved that chinchilla dearly...made me so sad...poor Melissa...R.I.P Kanga... Slept Over... [03 May 2006|10:28am] [ mood | peaceful ] Well yesterday me,Amanda,Dawna and Steph went to the movies.We saw "Silent Hill"...it was a good movie!We all really liked it!Afterwards Dawna and I went to Ally's.We had fun there.She showed us her animals...way too cute!I love Shambo, he is a 10 yr old english setter.Anyway she spoiled us with chocolate!! We then talked and talked...lots of fun!Around 10pm, Ally asked if Jason was gonna be home for the night with Chloe.I was like "yes, why?"...and she was like "lets have a girls night"...yay!Me and Dawna were so happy and up for it!So the 3 of us walked up here.Dawna stayed outside and I showed Ally my pets and introduced her to Jason and whatnot.Then I gathered some stuff and we went back to her house.We stayed up talking for another long while.I didn't get much sleep, as I wasn't used to being there...and when I am at a new place, I cannot sleep well.Today we stayed over till about 4pm.It was nice to be away from the house for abit...Jason missed me tho!! He said he could not sleep because I wasn't in the bed with him.He said he tossed and turned...awwww...I had fun tho.Today I was petting Eddie, one of her guinea pigs for awhile and he was squeaking and making cute noises and now I want a GP even more!! 2 CMNTED X CMNT

I am bi and have been a vegetarian since 2002.Have a daughter named Chloe (June 9th 2004) and several pets.My pets as of now include:24 rats,5 mice,2 leopard geckos,1 RES turtle and 3 fish!I want more pets!Hehehehe...I am big into the herp community now...I started getting more into it after getting my gecko.I am eventaully gonna get some more herps!...My passion is rats tho! I am into animal rights/welfare and rescue and awareness.I have a ton of interests...I often talk about my animals in my journal and so what!? It is my journal and therefore I am allowed talking about whatever I want!!!! I volunteer for Beagle Paws,Greyhound Pets of Atlantic Canada and Ruff Spots and LOVE it! I love porn and am not ashamed.My favorite star is Ashton Moore...but there are so many nice ones!I love sex and all things sex related.If your offended by that, don't read my journal or even look at it! I love tattoos, have 5 right now and I adore piercings, have my tongue and ears done at the moment.Hoping to get some more soon!
